Product Details
Using Boveda to balance humidity in an instrument case:
  • Requires zero maintenance—no more filling messy hoses and snakes and wetting sponges
  • Maintains an ideal relative humidity range for instruments—40-60% RH
  • Prevents wide fluctuations in humidity that cause the wood to expand or shrink, and degrade its performance abilities

HOW TO USE:

BEFORE USING BOVEDA:

  • ALWAYS insert Boveda into a Boveda Holder before using in your instrument case. The holder acts as a liquid barrier if a packet is accidentally punctured while extending the life of your Boveda packets. The patented interior material allows water vapor to pass through to your instrument. The exterior is soft, like a polishing cloth, so it doesn’t scratch the finish.
  • DO NOT mix different Boveda RH levels within the same instrument case.
  • DO NOT use other humidification products with Boveda in the same case because they will fight against each other and reduce the efficiency of Boveda.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Slip the Boveda pack into the pouch of its Boveda Holder. (DO NOT OPEN the Boveda itself.)
  2. Place in the case anywhere that allows for airflow and prevents puncture when you close the case: - Under the neck or headstock - On the strings
- Open area in the case
  3. Close the case's lid. Always keep your case closed when using Boveda.

Customers Talked About
Reviews Summary
Customers say these humidity control packs are highly effective for protecting wooden instruments like guitars, violins, cellos, and ukuleles. Many reviews mention their ease of use compared to traditional sponge-based systems, with users appreciating the "set it and forget it" convenience. Common feedback includes successful protection against dry climates, particularly in winter months and arid regions like Arizona and the Southwest. Frequent comments address their effectiveness in maintaining stable humidity levels within instrument cases, preventing issues like fret sprout, cracking, and tuning instability. While most praise their reliability and convenience, some note concerns about replacement frequency and cost, with a few reporting inconsistent performance in achieving target humidity levels.

These little magical packages work wonders keeping guitars humidity just right and it’s a pleasure to open case to discover that no strings are sharp or flat due to humidity changes in my apartment. Thanks 🙏🏼.

    Best for ukulele humidification.

I’ve tried ALL of the humidifiers for stringed instruments. Boveda is the BEST - IMHO. I learned about them when I built humidors - and read the reviews.

I wish I’d tried Boveda’s first. No fuss/muss and THEY WORK!

    Boveda-these humidifiers are the bomb!

Love the humidifiers.! My Luthier has been after me for years to use humidifiers for my acoustic guitars. Finally, an easy application that works and is affordable.

    Works like a charm!

Had some really cold days a few months back here in the Midwest. Now is very humid and hot, I keep my semi-hollow in the case at all times and it doesn't even go out of tune!
