HOW TO USE:
BEFORE USING BOVEDA:
- ALWAYS insert Boveda into a holder before using in your instrument case. The holder acts as a liquid barrier if a packet is accidentally punctured and extends the life of your Boveda packets. The patented interior material allows water vapor to pass through to your instrument. The exterior is soft, like a polishing cloth, so it doesn’t scratch your instrument.
- DO NOT mix different Boveda RH levels including Boveda B49HA within the same instrument case.
- DO NOT use other humidification products with Boveda in the same case because they will fight against each other and reduce the efficiency of Boveda.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
- Remove the clear overwrap from the packet. (DO NOT OPEN the Boveda itself.)
- Insert one (1) unwrapped Boveda into each pouch of each holder.
- Place in the case anywhere that allows for airflow and prevents puncture when you close the case.
- Close the case's lid. Always keep your instrument case closed when using Boveda.

- Into the sound hole
- Over the strings
- Open area in the case
Single holder:
- Under the neck or headstock
- On the strings
- Under the tailpiece
- Open area in the case
PACKAGING:
Each Boveda in these kits is individually overwrapped. An unopened Boveda is good for up to two (2) years.
LIFESPAN:
Replace Boveda 2-way humidity packets every three (3) months.
ACCURACY: Achieves and maintains a constant relative humidity (RH) range between 40% and 60%, the industry standard for wooden instruments.
INGREDIENTS:
Food-grade salt, purified water, and a food-grade thickening agent sealed inside a leakproof membrane.

I am a beginner and bought a new guitar for my lessons. I got a Martin Road Series 000-13E Retro with a spruce top and solid black walnut back & sides. I did research and was told by many folks to get a humidity solution ASAP especially since PA is going through a very cold winter.
I've owned the guitar for exactly one week. I placed the Boveda pack in my hard case about three days ago.
Much to my surprise, when I opened the case to practice this morning, an overwhelming smell of fine wood filled the air. I took a deep inhale at the sound hole and I cannot tell you how amazing it smells. Also, after just three days of getting humidity....the guitar's sound has GREATLY improved. Each chord has a very full sound and amazing sustain. I never would have thought humidity would have such an immediate and massive impact on the sound and playability of the guitar. I will never be without these packets.

My hometown has gone up and down from 50F to 10F in the last weeks and my semi-hollow is holding up very well!! But I do realize I need to have a humidifier in my room anyway as the humidity drops to 15-20 otherwise, but this is ok. But, I'm now going to be away for 6 days and am a bit concerned what will happen when my room humidifier runs out of water; should I add a bunch of guitar humidifiers in the case along with the Boveda packs, or is this overkill?
