Spring for a Humidor Starter Kit when you buy a new wood humidor. Everything you need to season then maintain your humidor for months!

Provides moisture directly to the wood, creates a better seal, and prevents the wood from robbing moisture from your cigars. (Humidor not included.)

Each kit includes everything you need to season and maintain your humidor for months.

B84 seasoning packets:

  • Completely humidify the cellular structure of the wood inside your humidor to prevent the interior from robbing moisture from your cigars.

B72 refills:

  • Replace the seasoning packets to maintain ideal moisture, which protects the flavor, condition, and burn of your cigars.

50-Count Starter Kit for Wood Humidors includes:

  • Two (2) Size 60 B84 packets
  • Two (2) Size 60 B72 packets

100-Count Starter Kit for Wood Humidors includes:

  • Four (4) Size 60 B84 packets
  • Four (4) Size 60 B72 packets

If you live in a dry climate or at high altitude, re-season your wood humidor every six (6) months.

  • Remove the clear overwrap from the B84 packets.
  • Place all of the unwrapped seasoning packets inside the EMPTY wood humidor.
  • Close the lid and DO NOT OPEN THE HUMIDOR FOR 14 DAYS—no matter what the hygrometer readings are.
  • After 14 days, open the humidor, remove the seasoning packets, and discard them—they aren’t reusable.

STEP 2, MAINTENANCE:Boveda is safe to touch cigars.

  • Remove the clear overwrap from the B72 packets.
  • Place all of the unwrapped B72 inside the humidor. For best results, you want Boveda's water vapor to circulate in and around your cigars, so place Boveda:
    - Under the cigar tray or shelf. (If there are vertical slots, make sure your cigars don’t block these air holes.)
    - On top of your cigars.
    - Inside a Boveda Holder that’s affixed to the lid. (If your humidor didn't come with a holder, you can order one here.)
  • Move your cigars back into your humidor.

Expect to replace your first set of Boveda a bit sooner than you will subsequent packets, which will last three (3) months.

  • DO NOT mix different RH (Relative Humidity) levels within the same humidor.
  • DO NOT use Boveda in the same humidor with other humidification products because they'll counteract each other, and reduce the efficiency of the Boveda.

Each Boveda in the Starter Kit for Humidors is individually overwrapped.

Size 60: 3.5"/8.89 cm x 5.25"/13.335 cm Kit: 9"/22.86 cm x 9.5"/24.13 cm

Unopened package: Up to two (2) years

The relative humidity (RH) inside your humidor doesn’t matter while you’re seasoning with B84 packets, so ignore your hygrometer readings for 14 days. After 14 days, B84 seasoning packets will raise the RH in your humidor to about 65%.

Boveda maintains inside relative humidity (RH) of +/-2% when using the recommended number of refill packets. Factors that adversely affect the expected results include a drafty humidor and/or extreme dry ambient conditions

Food-grade salt, purified water, and a food-grade thickening agent.

    100 count starter kit

My humidor (s) were showing signs of needing reconditioned and I tried distilled water in a bowl first and only achieved a 70% humidity reading after 2 weeks then immediately dropped back down to 60 after removing the water. I used the Boveda 84 packs for a 100 count humidor and reached 80% for 2 weeks. I slowly added some cigars back in and using Boveda 72% packs my humidor is steady at 68% . It might be a little higher but my cigars lost alot of moisture due to the zipper popping open on my Boveda bag I was using to protect my cigars while reconditioning the humidor. I am currently reusing the 84% bags for another humidor and it went from 65% to 82% and holding steady. After 2 weeI will use 2 - 72% packs on humidor #2 that holds around 45 to 50 sticks. I recently acquired a 3rd humidor at an estate sale (why not? At this point you can't have too many cigars) and it was at around 65% when I added 4-72% packs and it is running at 72% and fully loaded with cigars. The bags I use from Boveda for conditioning cigars bought online or new boxes have worked really well up to now. The zipper issue dried out alot of good cigars and I hope I can salvage them.
