Before using in your instrument case, you must insert Boveda into a Boveda Holder. The patented design lets water vapor pass through to your instrument while acting as a liquid barrier if a packet is accidentally punctured. Choose from three (3) sizes based on your instrument.

Information

HOW TO USE:

BEFORE USING BOVEDA:

  • Some Boveda are individually overwrapped. Remove the clear overwrap from the packet before using Boveda in your holder. (DO NOT OPEN the Boveda itself.)
  • ALWAYS insert Boveda into a Boveda holder before using in an instrument case. The holder acts as a liquid barrier if a packet is accidentally punctured plus extends the life of your Boveda packets.
  • DO NOT mix different Boveda RH levels within the same instrument case.
  • DO NOT use other humidification products with Boveda in the same case because they will fight against each other and reduce the efficiency of Boveda.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Double Holder:

  1. Insert one (1) unwrapped B49 OR B49HA refill packet into each pouch of the holder. (Packets sold separately.)
  2. Place in the case anywhere that allows for airflow and prevents puncture when you close the case. - Drape over the strings and into the sound hole - Under the neck, headstock, or tailpiece - Across the strings or entire instrument - Around tuning pegs - Into a hollow of the case

    Satisfying product

The Boveda case, along with the Boveda humidity control pack, is a very convenient way to keep a guitar humidified. I feel confident that my guitar will stay in top condition. However, especially considering that you need to buy replacement packs periodically, the case is pricey. This is my reason for four stars rather than five. My purchase of one (or more in my case) ensures that I will be a return customer, buying humidity packs ongoing, and I feel that should be considered when setting the price of the case. This is particularly the case with me, as I have a dozen guitars, all with Boveda cases and packs.
