In a word, simple. Prep your wood humidor for cigar storage with this Boveda Humidor Starter Kit. Once your humidor is properly seasoned with the B84 packets, replace them with your first set of B72 packets. These B72 packets maintain the ideal humidity in your humidor for months of precise cigar storage.

DETAILS:
Each kit includes everything you need to season and maintain your humidor for months.B84 seasoning packets:
- Completely humidify the cellular structure of the wood inside your humidor to prevent the interior from robbing moisture from your cigars.
- Replace the seasoning packets to maintain ideal moisture, which protects the flavor, condition, and burn of your cigars.
- Two (2) Size 60 B84 packets
- Two (2) Size 60 B72 packets
- Four (4) Size 60 B84 packets
- Four (4) Size 60 B72 packets
HOW TO USE:
STEP 1, SEASONING:
- Remove the clear overwrap from the B84 packets.
- Place all of the unwrapped seasoning packets inside the EMPTY wood humidor.
- Close the lid and DO NOT OPEN THE HUMIDOR FOR 14 DAYS—no matter what the hygrometer readings are.
- After 14 days, open the humidor, remove the seasoning packets, and discard them—they aren’t reusable.
STEP 2, MAINTENANCE:Boveda is safe to touch cigars.
- Remove the clear overwrap from the B72 packets.
- Place all of the unwrapped B72 inside the humidor. For best results, you want Boveda's water vapor to circulate in and around your cigars, so place Boveda:
- Under the cigar tray or shelf. (If there are vertical slots, make sure your cigars don’t block these air holes.)
- On top of your cigars.
- Inside a Boveda Holder that’s affixed to the lid. (If your humidor didn't come with a holder, you can order one here.) - Move your cigars back into your humidor.
Expect to replace your first set of Boveda a bit sooner than you will subsequent packets, which will last three (3) months.
- DO NOT mix different RH (Relative Humidity) levels within the same humidor.
- DO NOT use Boveda in the same humidor with other humidification products because they'll counteract each other, and reduce the efficiency of the Boveda.

The relative humidity (RH) inside your humidor doesn’t matter while you’re seasoning with B84 packets, so ignore your hygrometer readings for 14 days. After 14 days, B84 seasoning packets will raise the RH in your humidor to about 65%.Boveda maintains inside relative humidity (RH) of +/-2% when using the recommended number of refill packets. Factors that adversely affect the expected results include a drafty humidor and/or extreme dry ambient conditions.
