THE UNITED STATES OF CANNABIS:

  • 2018’s midterm elections brought legalization to three more states.  Utah and Missouri approved medical cannabis. Michigan legalized adult-use (9:13)
  • Cannabis stocks rose when former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions resigned.  Sessions staunchly opposed legalization. (9:52)
  • Some states have medical cannabis but do not allow smokable flower, instead opting to approve pre-filled concentrate cartridges, capsules, tinctures and/or topicals (11:02)
  • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, commonly referred to as Mormons, previously opposed medical cannabis. Now the Mormon church admits medicinal cannabis has benefits. (12:35)
  • More people are choosing cannabis over alcohol (13:32)
