BOVEDA’S PRECISE HUMIDITY CONTROL
NOW IN Brizard & Co. Hacienda Humidors
Announcing the best B2B in the cigar industry. Boveda and Brizard & Co., that is. For more than a decade, Brizard & Co. has designed luxury cigar accessories for true aficionados.
Its founder Cyril Brizard showed off the company’s newest humidor to Boveda’s Rob Gagner at the 2018 IPCPR Trade Show. Brizard & Co.’s Hacienda Humidor is handmade from the reclaimed wood and rustic iron. But this cigar storage work of art is all high-tech humidity control compliments of Boveda.
Hear what big wig in the cigar world recently got his first set of Boveda in a Brizard & Co. limited-edition humidor. A boy’s dream…
THE BRIZARD & CO. HACIENDA HUMIDOR WILL BE AT HOME IN YOUR HOME
For cigar lovers, function and fine design are now one. No need to sacrifice good taste for good smokes with the Brizard & Co. Hacienda Humidor.
Now tupperdors, coolerdors and Boveda Humidor Bags all have their place in a cigar smoker’s life. (Have well-humidified cigars, will travel.) But that place is not front and center in the media room, den or office.
Often when a smoker goes to a cigar shop to buy a high-end humidor, the models do not mesh with a homeowner’s design. Tobacco lounge, sure. Italian credenza, no grazie.
“They [cigar smokers] have to send a picture of that humidor to their wives to get approval to put it in their living room. And then the wife says, ‘No it doesn’t match anything,’ ” explained Cyril Brizard, founder of Brizard & Co.
A humidor any wife, husband or partner can live with, beautifully
Its design is reminiscent of old colonial Mexican mansions. The Hacienda is crafted from reclaimed walnut that was culled from vintage barns, buildings and businesses. Each cigar box embodies the storied history of America’s Midwest. Why, you can almost image a gentlemen lighting up a Cuban some 100 years ago and settling in for a smoke amid the timbers.
How many cigars do you home? The larger Hacienda Humidor (pictured) holds about 70 premium cigars. 14″L x 12″ W x 5″H, $895. A more diminutive model houses 30 cigars. 12″ L x 9.5″ W x 4.5″ H, $390. Both luxury humidors are made in USA.
Reclaimed, yet restored. The vintage walnut was fully dried before it found new life in the Hacienda. Artisans in Guadalajara, Mexico, cast its weighty iron fixtures. The hefty walnut lid delivers a tight seal.
HUMIDOR’S INTERIOR DESIGN IS ULTRA CONTEMPORARY
Cigar smokers have learned a lot in the past century. More than two decades ago, Boveda advanced mere cigar humidification to 2-way humidity control.
Fluctuating RH levels can take down premium cigars. And rehydrating a sponge or oases is not only old hat, it’s down right dangerous to premium cigars. (Moisture peaks and then nosedives when you use distilled water in any refillable, one-way humidification method.) Today’s collectors want easy and precise humidity control for their cigars. They trust Boveda to keep cigars smoke-ready.
THE HACIENDA SURROUNDS A CIGAR COLLECTION WITH BOVEDA 2-WAY HUMIDITY CONTROL
This state-of-art interior humidification system eliminates the need to rotate cigars. To equalize moisture and air flow, Brizard explained that cigar collectors often rotate their cigars in most traditional humidors. Move the bottom layer of cigars to the upper layer. Relocate, repeat.
Protects premium cigars with 360 degrees of Boveda humidity control. An elevated cigar tray latches in place above the Boveda. To complete the humidity control circle, Boveda slide into the holder(s) that attach via magnets to the humidor’s lid. Each holder is a mere half inch deep. The low profile leaves plenty of room for smokes.
There’s no other humidity control like Boveda
Brizard—the founder—recommends no other humidity pack for his tony humidor than Boveda.
“I have become a big, big believer in the Boveda packs over the last year. There are so many of my friends in the industry—cigar makers—that I have worked with swear by Boveda,” Brizard said.
“The quality that Boveda provides helps the quality that Brizard provides to the cigar customer,” Rob Gagner added.
“It’s all about the quality,” Brizard said. “And the quality is all about honoring the very hard work and labor that goes into making a cigar. It’s a form of respect for these people that are working 60-70 hours a week in very hot temperatures and are putting all their life and their passion to make cigars.
